Zeitgeist - too hot for Wikipedia?

Something in this little bit of questioning of Christianity, modern finance, and the 9/11 story was apparently too out-there even for a Wikipedia entry.

See the movie’s page, and its sources to get a sense of where it’s coming from… I’m not much on 9/11 ‘conspiracies’ — not because I think such evil is beyond the present gang of murdering, torturing criminals, but because I simply do not believe the Cheney Administration could have pulled off such a dazzling, flawless operation. But Wikipedia’s apparent disregard for materials that are not rendered “notable” by recognition from “official” sources is troubling. At best, it betrays a tremendous insecurity about its status. By suggesting that online cinema is not significant, aren’t they reinforcing the position of the Michael Gormans of the world, that online resources are inherently inferior?

The deletion of wikipedia’s article on “Zeitgeist the Movie” is one of the most blatant cases of sensorship I’ve thus far come across in wikipedia.

It is not just that wikipedia’s rules (ironically) value online resources less than mainstream ones. What it is, is that this article was deliberatelly sensored because of its “Christian Mythology” defiant contents and its critique of the interconnections between religion finance and greed-based politics.

You can find articles about almost any school, highschool and small dust-filled village in the middle of nowhere in wikipedia. You can even find an article on “Fart”, but apparentlly “Zeitgeist the Movie” is just less notorious than a fart….

    i agree.
    this is positively baffling.
regardless of whether it is anti-christian or not, this is would be a NEUTRAL article informing people as to what the film IS, not a piece drawing conclusions for or against it’s contents. There’s already one about the 9-11 conspiracies - why not about this popular internet phenomenon?
Let’s keep harassing until this is rectified.

come on guys, if you believe in what zeitgeist says, it is obvious that it MUST be censored, or do you think power will let the bewildered herd know the truth, now, the shareholders of the fed do exist, lionel, jacob and the rest… Now warbrg, the man who brought the federal reserved did pay rockefeller 20 mill. $ per head…
but where did he come from, 1917, afte the ardennes offensive
shows german is loosing the war, the consortium of international
bankers empty the gold of the german banks put it in 2 boats
in harmburg, morning next week the mark crashes the war is still
going on, a war in which the bankers had signed a ‘rain check’
(sic, willhem ditto), the war is lost the capital is gone,
next month, all over germany start to be written in walls
‘the death of the J** will be the wealth of the G**’
you can imagine the parallelism, who got US in that war, you
are going to loose, who is investing massively in china and
saying america is done, with , who will start the paintings
do you think this can be said. what amazes me as a scholar of
a non censored nation is that this guy whoever it is is still alive

Grow up some of you. You can’t take this sutff at face value because it was on the internet. Do your own research with actual books and stuff. And any of you who really believe our American CIA is that good to pull off something so flawless as the attacks on 911, you really havent been following the news lately. (Or in the last five years.) And Ron NY, You can say “Fuck the American government all you want,” because we are a free country and allow such criticmisms. Go to china and say “Fuck the Chinese government,” and I’ll watch them run over your ass with a tank in Tianemin Square, live on CNN. God bless America!

You realize you have been given an alternative to the truth as you knew it,right?I mean…at the beginning a man tells you that the movie does just that..it gives a new perspective on things.I wouldn’t be so proud of American government if I were you christofer…for instance..when the International Court of Justice asked that a fighter pilot to be trialled because he blew up a bridge when a train was over it and 200 or so children died because of this, your beloved government not only stood against the trial, but they gave him a medal because he successfully completed his mission. In my country a famous singer(TEO PETER) was killed by one of your american soldiers who was driving while he was drunk and never got punished for his actions.Want another example? When the whole world came to the conclusion that there are too many gases in the atmosphere which increase the effect of global warming, the American government agreed. However, when it was decided that EVERYONE has to reduce the amount of gases they release into the atmosphere, guess who refused?Your precious government

“Zeitgeist the Movie” can be found on wikipedia. You conspiracy theorists should get your heads out of your asses.

In my opinion zeitgeist and scientology can get together and fall off a cliff.

It’s there, just that you have to type in exactly Zeitgeist the Movie. There will always be corruption in the government. But I’m willing to take a chance that trickle-down economics works, and that rich people can be talked to, and can make good business deals with anyone who is willing to pay to play whether they get the dough by hook or crook.

I’m trying to curb my addiction to blogging because it keeps me from getting a job, making money, and discovering better industries to invest in.

if its such a load of crap why isnt it the focus of major debate
it makes startling claims that, if they are lies should be debunked and done so publicly
that way all of us can go back to sleep
regarding the september 11 issue why isnt THAT alone the subject of major debate
it usually degenerates into namecalling and goes nowhere
    for example fox news
an ADULT debate is whats needed where the evidence is presented and debunked accordingly
    but one thing
why did bush and cheney refuse to be interviewed seperately about the events on the day?
why did they insist on going into together?
    with preset questions?
    allowing no recordings or transcripts??
    why?????

you will see how much of this is true or false…
the future of the human kind in a forum¿?

i think the church of scientology has done an excellent job of attempting to recruit new members with the ZEITGEIST film.

ZEITGEIST movie exposes some truths about the US government and raises great questions about religion. I think that people will easily accept Scientology religion, when they feel scared and not sure of what to do.

for more information, check out the ZEITGEIST movement and see what they propose as a new form of government. it’s a lot like science fiction.
